Children’s Programs

This is a fun unique way of expressing musical creativity. A melody can be created by simply using cookies as musical notes and placing them on a big Treble Staff.

The notes are written down on a musical inspiration pad. The melody is developed, chords added and the song is played back with a band accompaniment in the style the composer prefers.

The song is titled and the composer’s name is written in with copyright year and the sheet music is given to the young composer.

Sounds fun? You bet!

And the cookies taste great! Got milk?

Cooke Songwriting has been held at various libraries, including Lima, Mendon, Geneseo, LeRoy, Rush, Avon Corn Festival and Batavia Summer Festival Picnic in the Park.

If you remember the old “Spin Art” days at the State Fair, well, here is a new “spin” on that fun, creative expression!

Using old 33-1/3 vinyl records, we can recycle them by turning them into new “folksy” artwork.

This is great fun for children at libraries, schools, festivals, birthday parties, and any fun event.

LP Spin Art has been done at various libraries, including Livonia, Gates, Geneseo [Wadsworth], Canandaigua, Geneva, Mendon, and at St. Joseph’s Catholic School [Batavia].
